| Review: For being such a high-quality product, I was impressed to find this pet food for a reasonable price. After comparing and researching many ingredients, I chose this brand, Blue buffalo brand, or Wellness by Old Mother Hubbard. I would highly reccomend this brand as it uses human-grade meats, not just ligaments and leftovers on a carcass after the human meat is stripped away. It also uses very little fillers, and more whole-foods. It contains vitamin C, Omega-6 fatty acids, Omega-3 fatty acieds to help improve immune function, as well as glucosamine and chondrointin to help with bone and joint problems. I love all the varieties of the food they have available, as well. I was originally using Pedigree Large Crunchy Bites (we have a German Shepherd) but I had to feed up to 9 cups a day because of the lack of actual nutrients and calories in a cup. At $16 a 44 lb. bag, I didn't think that was a lot. He started eating some not so pleasant things, and it was suggest that I look at his food to see if he's getting proper nutrients. While Pedigree does have some vitamins in it, it is high in chicken-meal (which is not the good human-grade protein) and many fillers. Our dog did have a nice looking coat from the Pedigree, he just wasn't getting the proper nutrition. This product was only 23.99 for a 40lb. bag, and you only use at most, 5 3/4 cup a day! For him, that's actually 4 cups a day, less than half of what I was giving him pedigree! So I expect this brand to last twice as long, so in the long-run it will actually be cheaper! Make sure to check these things out when comparing brands!
