I was not happy at all with this dishwasher at first, esp. considering how expensive it is. It uses a special kind of dishwasher detergent (those little rectangular tablets) and you have to keep the rinse agent compartment filled, or dishes look spotty. Also, if you put dishes in that are not completely scraped, they don't come out clean. And also, there is a filter you have to clean at the bottom of the DW. Too much work, I thought. But it is superquiet, I will give you that. It is so quiet, I often open the DW not realizing the wash cycle is on (and water sometimes sprays out at me!). But I guess I have accepted the Electrol tablet thing, and now the tablets come with rinse agent built in, so I don't have to keep filling up the rinse agent compartment. If you are looking for a quiet DW,this is it. And the extra scraping is not that big a deal, I've decided. So I would buy this DW again, is the bottom line.
